TL;DR: Trang Lanh is The Duskbloods' ambush controller. Darkmoon hides you long enough to break lock-ons and open the fight on your terms. Mama Nātha turns a duel into chaos. Alluring Bride spellbinds whoever stands near your blood drinks. Difficulty 4 — high skill, high reward. Disappear, then decide the fight.
Who Is Trang Lanh in The Duskbloods?
Trang Lanh is a playable Bloodsworn in The Duskbloods — FromSoftware's 8-player PvPvE action RPG, exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. She is an information fighter wrapped in darkmoon silk: conceal, reposition, summon the silver serpent, and let everyone else panic into each other.
She finished as a B-tier high-skill pick in our Bloodsworn tier list — not the safest character, but one of the most dangerous in clean hands. If you want to choose when the fight starts, Trang is how.

Trang Lanh's Kit, Explained
Trang's kit is built around one idea: decide the fight before it exists. Every tool either hides you, starts the fight, or pays you for starting it in a crowd.
Weapons: Full Moon Blade (melee & thrown)
| Slot | Weapon | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Melee | Full Moon Blade | Clean close-range pressure when you commit. |
| Ranged | Full Moon Blade (thrown) | Your stealth opener and mid-range poke. |
One blade, two jobs. Thrown for the ambush, held for the confirm.
Blood Arts: Darkmoon & Mama Nātha
| Blood Art | Input idea | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Darkmoon | Conceal your body behind the darkmoon for a limited time. | The opener. Break lock-ons, reposition, or start a thrown-blade ambush. |
| Mama Nātha | Summon a giant silver serpent, guardian of the Ratnam, to attack the surrounding area. | Chaos button. Turn a duel into a three-way. Zone control when they collapse. |
Darkmoon is how you choose the fight. Mama Nātha is how you refuse a fair one.
Aspects: Alluring Bride & Daughter of the Darkmoon
| Aspect | Effect | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Alluring Bride | Drinking blood also spellbinds nearby enemies. | Soft CC in a crowd. One drink can convert a whole skirmish. |
| Daughter of the Darkmoon | Hides you from distant foes and makes you harder to target. | Survival in 8-player lobbies. Creep the edge of vision, not the middle. |
Darkmoon & Alluring Bride: The Ambush Loop
Trang is not a fair duelist. She is an editor of other people's fights.
The open (Darkmoon)
- Do not show yourself first. Let them spend cooldowns on someone else.
- Darkmoon in. Break lock-ons. Pick your angle.
- Open with a thrown Full Moon Blade or a Mama Nātha setup — not a face-to-face trade.
The convert (Alluring Bride)
- Drink blood in crowds. Alluring Bride spellbinds whoever is nearby.
- Stagger one target in a group and convert the whole skirmish.
- Do not waste the drink on an isolated target when three people are stacked.
The rule of thumb
If they can see you at the start, you already lost the fight Trang wants. Enter late, enter ugly, leave them fighting each other.
How to Play Trang Lanh: Phase-by-Phase Game Plan
The Duskbloods runs a four-phase Dusk Battle. Trang's job changes as the clock moves.
Phase I — Farm unseen
- Contest ritual sites from the edge of vision. Daughter of the Darkmoon is strongest at range.
- Do not open every fight. Pick one clean ambush and bank the Virtue.
- Save Darkmoon for escapes and repositions early — it is also your life when third parties arrive.
Phases II–III — Edit the culling
- The Grail culls low-Virtue Bloodsworn. Stay stocked, then hunt the wounded.
- Use Darkmoon to choose who dies next. Never fight the lobby head-on.
- Mama Nātha when two other people are already fighting — steal the winner.
Phase IV — Decide the final three
- You do not win a clean 1v1 duel against bruisers. Make it a three-way.
- Darkmoon to break focus. Mama Nātha to zone. Alluring Bride to convert the drink.
- Force the other two to look at each other. Trang wins the last fight by not being in it until the end.
Trang Lanh Tips & Combos That Actually Work
1. Open from stealth
Do not show yourself first. Darkmoon in, throw the blade or start the summon, and let them panic into each other.
2. Drink blood in crowds
Alluring Bride spellbinds nearby enemies on drink — stagger one target in a group and convert the whole skirmish.
3. Stay at the edge of vision
Daughter of the Darkmoon is strongest when you are far. Creep the perimeter of fights instead of standing in them.
4. Thrown blade is the real starter
Your ambush is a thrown Full Moon Blade from conceal — not a face-check with the melee form.
5. Mama Nātha when they collapse
The serpent is area denial and chaos. Use it when two other people are already committed to each other.
6. Do not duel the bruiser
Trang is difficulty 4 because the plan is: never take the fair fight. If you are trading 1v1 with Jan or Zork, you are playing the wrong character.
Trang Lanh vs Other Bloodsworn
| Matchup | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Trang vs Albert | Albert favored | Albert's clean neutral breaks setups. You need a real ambush, not a fair trade. |
| Trang vs Zork | Zork favored | Zork's kit breaks setups and forces honest fights. Disengage or third-party — do not brawl. |
| Trang vs Sniper Layla | Trang favored | Darkmoon breaks her lock-ons. Close the distance and convert. |
| Trang vs Bloodhand Jan | Even | Jan wants messy long fights. Make them messier and let Mama Nātha pick the winner. |
| Trang vs Senator Samir Patres | Samir favored if clean | Samir punishes bad positioning. Trang's whole plan is not to be positioned for him. |
Is Trang Lanh Good? Network-Test Verdict
Trang Lanh is a B-tier high-skill, high-reward pick in the August 2026 network test meta:
- Ambush ceiling. When Trang chooses the fight, she wins it. That is rare.
- Lobby editing. In 8-player chaos, the character who is not visible until the end has a structural advantage.
- Punishable floor. Difficulty 4. Show yourself early, eat a bruiser trade, or waste Darkmoon — and you lose.
She is not a default recommendation. She is a specialist for players who already understand culling, target priority, and third-party timing.
